Frequently Asked Questions About Ordering DataOnDemand

How do I order or renew my institution's DOD subscriptions?

Whether you are ordering for the first time or simply needing to renew your subscription, everyone must start by placing an order online.

What payment methods can I use to purchase DOD subscriptions?

Paying with a credit card is CUPA-HR's preferred method of payment and is the only way to get immediate access to your new subscriptions after checkout. All other payment methods must be received, processed and paid in full before your institution's CHRO, CUPA-HR primary contact or DOD sub-administrators can assign employees access to your subscriptions.

If you are unable to pay with a credit card, CUPA-HR will accept payment via check, purchase order or ACH payment.

To pay by check or purchase order, start by placing your DOD order online. At checkout, select “Pay Later – Bill Me” as your payment type, make sure the billing address is correct, and click “Submit” to complete your order. If you already have a PO number, you can input that at checkout, but providing a PO number or invoice description is not required to receive an invoice. After checkout, an invoice will be automatically emailed to you. Be sure to check your junk or spam folder. If you don’t receive an invoice within 2 hours, please email [email protected]. CUPA-HR invoices are due upon receipt. Order that remain unpaid for 90 days will be automatically cancelled.

At checkout, select “Pay Later – Bill Me” as your payment type, make sure the billing address is correct, and click “Submit” to complete your order. You do not need to provide a PO number or invoice description. After checkout, an invoice will be automatically emailed to you. How soon after ordering can I access my DOD subscriptions?

Your institution’s CUPA-HR primary contact, CHRO, or DOD sub-administrators can grant access to DOD subscriptions as soon as CUPA-HR receives payment for them. Therefore, paying by credit card at checkout is the only way to gain access to subscriptions immediately. If you use alternative payment methods, your institution’s CUPA-HR primary contact will be emailed instructions on how to grant access as soon as CUPA-HR receives and processes payment.

My order appears to have been cancelled. Why?

DataOnDemand orders remaining unpaid after 90 days will be automatically cancelled. However, your organization can place a new order at any time.

If I have a DOD subscription, will I receive a DOD renewal invoice when it expires?

No, CUPA-HR does not send out automatic renewal invoices for DOD. You will need to place your order online to renew your DataOnDemand. After CUPA-HR receives and processes payment, your institution's CHRO, CUPA-HR primary contact, or DOD sub-administrators will need to assign access to authorized employees at your institution, even if they had access to prior subscriptions. (If you are preordering DOD for the following year, your institution will not be able to assign access to those subscriptions until they become available in February.)
