You'll also have the opportunity to engage with other attendees in breakout rooms to discuss approaches, challenges and opportunities in creating and sustaining campuses as great places to work.

Engagement Surveys and State of the Workplace Index at UC Berkeley

Using data from homegrown employee surveys administered with Qualtrics, UC Berkeley has created a series of dashboards using Tableau that visualize the workplace experience of employees across campus. The results of the surveys also feed into the institution's Workplace Experience Index (what is it like to work at UC Berkeley?) and the Parity Index (is it the same for everyone?). This longitudinal data, which can be disaggregated across many dimensions, is used to develop targeted strategies to improve the workplace experience. By collecting, sharing and acting on the data, UC Berkeley is also building a culture of trust and transparency.

Presenter: Eugene Whitlock, Chief People and Culture Officer/Associate Vice Chancellor, Human Resources, University of California, Berkeley
