Jake Lathrop, Assistant Director of Talent and Strategic Partnerships at Michigan State University, to Serve on the CUPA-HR Board of Directors
Jake Lathrop, assistant director of talent and strategic partnerships at Michigan State University, has been selected to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). He will join the board on July 1.
Lathrop has been a long-time member of CUPA-HR. He began serving in a CUPA-HR leadership role with the Michigan Chapter board in 2015, where he served for several years, culminating in a term as chapter president during the 2016-17 fiscal year. Lathrop has also been an active member of the Midwest Region Board since 2019, serving as board chair from 2023 to 2024. At the national level, Lathrop has been a member of CUPA-HR’s Learning and Professional Development, Public Policy, Spring Conference and Creating Inclusive Communities Steering committees. He has also served as a CUPA-HR conference ambassador and was a member of the 2018-19 Emerging CUPA-HR Leader cohort.
